Have you ever felt burnt out? I'm sure you have. In those times, I strongly believe that the best thing you can do is rest.
A dear friend of mine once told me that when you are physically tired, you should sleep. When you a mentally tired, you should play. I thought that was really wise. Right now, I'm both. :) So, this week, my adventure is to try and see what kind of rest works well for me.
I've already been taking a bit of a break from the blog, as noticed by some of you, I'd imagine. Also, I've taken a 2 hour nap every afternoon. This has been blissful and makes my day soooo much better. The thing I've had a hard time doing is…play. I have next to no creative inspiration or motivation lately, and that's normally my kind of play. However, I did go see a movie with one of my bestie's here in Charlotte. That was a lot of fun, and something I wish we did more often!
Anyway, how do you guys rest? Are you good at resting, or do you find yourself like most of our society…unable to stop and rest.
And, because a post is not a post without a picture…here's one of my sweet, sweet Twig2. I caught him just hanging out at the kitchen table like this. I turned around and serendipitously…there was my camera! How often does that happen?! He's a doll, isn't he?
