Husband returns in T-Minus 3 days. I absolutely, positively, completely cannot wait. I am absurdly excited and I feel like a little girl who just can't wait for Christmas. The flooring situation has kept me from acheiving a total house makeover. It has felt more like a construction site than a home for the past 2 weeks. However, we're hoping for a Wednesday afternoon finish. Cross your fingers and toes! In the meantime, look at all the trash we've created by ripping up 37 years of flooring.
This is the powder room, which actually contained 2 different floors than I had seen thus far in the house. It is amazing, and most days I feel like I am on an archeological dig.
On the plus side, we are getting some good things ADDED rather than just taking them away. I found an antique cookie cooling rack from a now-defunct local bakery that I am using as blanket and pillow storage. It will live in a little niche in the family room. I love it.
And lastly, my mom is a darling Etsy shopper and she curated these cute letterpress M's for me. M is the Twig Family initial–and this adorable little collection is precious.
I can't wait to give you more of a reveal…but unfortunately, there isn't much of a reveal to show yet. We have one room with flooring–the rest of the time has been spent by my wonderful floor man sweating away and prying the floors from the depths of our house's soul. Plus, we haven't gotten to the point of really putting things together–so they don't look all pretty for photos. :) You know bloggers and pretty photos. Ugh.
