"We must use time creatively." –Martin Luther King, Jr.
Time. Isn't that the world's great equalizer. Each day, each person, exactly the same amount of time. Use it, waste it, but you can't ignore it. It marches on, it waits for no man. Moments turn to days, turn to years.
How I use my time each day determines the impact my life has. We are each gifted with the same amount of time, but we certainly bear out different responsibilities in our days. While one woman taps out words on a page with beauty and grace, another captures life in a really honest, genuine way. One woman might choose to sit and rock her baby with sweet elegance, soaking up each new breath of life. Another might fight for justice for someone else's baby–a baby who doesn't have a home or even the most basic need, touch.
How we spend out time dictates, by necessity, how we spend our life. It is a mighty thought with real life implications in every season of life. I am trying not to be weighted down, but rather encouraged by this newest call to creativity. Creatively and intentionally using up each moment until it is finished, squeezed out, and done.
Have a lovely day, full of lovely moments–each of you.
