Doesn't there come a day in every blog's life where the blogger apologizes for not living up to promises. Consider today that day. I am so overwhelmed with selling the house, buying a car, moving, and all that goes with it. I have been a baaaaaaaaaaad blogger. So bad. So, so, so bad.
But, I won't apologize too much. I've been busy–this new adventure is kicking my butt thus far. It's an adventure on steroids. Adventure on speed. Adventure, adventure, adventure.

When I approached Lindsey of Linds Loves about doing a fun home project, she was months away from being done with school (she's a darling, stylish teacher). I was anticipating staying in Charlotte for a good long time, and wanted to finally work to make our house "ours". So, we set a date months in the future–and little did I know, it would fall in the very week we were working like crazy in our house. Lucky me!
We worked hard to get our house from "cute and cozy" to "ready to sell" and "attractive to buyers". We put it on the market on Friday before we left for a short trip to Indiana. It was cah-razy. But, I wanted to show you the pictures of our hard work. I love our little house, and will be sad to leave it…but more on that later. I have so many thoughts about this whole thing.
And now…for my favorite magic trick, I wanted to show you the before and after of my styled bookcase. Before it was a repository for everything.
Before (that's obvious, right??)
And…After.
The power of color coordination, neutrals, and some sentimental art and found objects. Oh, and this tutorial from Design Sponge and P.S. I Made This. I am continually amazed at what a difference a little elbow grease makes…and attention. I don't often have undivided attention to spend on my home.
Also, did you notice all the cute window things? Thank The Nester for her life-changing concept of mistreating windows! She is a darling woman…can you start harassing her to finish her "Mistreatment E-Book"?? It would have helped me (really, her) to have had the E-Book. I wouldn't have called her about every little issue. :) So, Nester, finish your book!!
Okay, more tomorrow on my reflections about our new big adventure. And look for Lindsey's guest post sooooon. Thanks for being darling, charming readers–thanks for being so accommodating!
