I started out with a well-exposed but otherwise unimpressive image. This is Twig2 a few months ago…just an image I grabbed off of my hard drive. I designed these actions to work on your well-exposed general family snapshots.
Then, I processed the image with an action that is just simply to make a snapshot that much better. This is one of my favorites for a quick edit when my mom or mother-in-law want a grandkid picture right this minute, young lady. It's not over the top, it's not unique…it's just a touch better than the original. Perfect for print.
Next, I have a very classic black and white. This is also a great, quick, go to action to use when you need to make something look a little better than it did out of the camera. Black and White is so timeless. Mine is a little bit warm, just because I think it makes kid's skintones look yummy.
After that, the fun ones start. I feel like sometimes pictures need to be played with. You need to have a little fun with the images, especially ones you post on your blog. The way you process your images can quickly add to your blogs identity. So, I made this sweet action that brightens everything waaay up.
After that, I worked on one that would be reminiscent of some of the film images of my childhood. The tones were some cyan mixed with magenta…and those film images are so deep and mysterious.
Finally, I created a dusty, sunny kind of look. One that would just be a fun addition to the group. Sometimes I have a subject matter that isn't terribly interesting by itself, but, with some interesting tones…all the sudden I love the image.
If you want to download these actions, please do so! :) I made them in CS4, so I cannot vouch for their usability in earlier versions. Share, pass this post along, tweet about it, etc. Click below to download your very own Tiny Twig Snapshot Actions. :) I may try to get a MckLinky working if there is enough interest in the comments to show off your snapshots processed with the actions.
p.s.–please let me know if you are able/unable to download and load into PS these actions. I've had an issue with my lovely tester being able to…but, I have had not problems…so, I thought I'd put it out there. I'll probably have to do an about face and look really silly in about an hour or two. :) But, I do it because I love you. Yes, I do.
