My husband had Mr. Stroup for 8th grade. Every year since then he has received a birthday card. This man has kept up with our 4 address changes, even though he writes nearly over 2500 birthday letters a year. He is a precious man, who is living out HIS call from the Lord. I love the part where he talks about not wanting to drop the ball. It is clear that he feels a heavy obligation to continue with passion the burden that God put on his heart.
This man, Mr. Stroup, is the inspiration for me wanting to thank and recognize those educators in our lives who DO get it right. Those teachers who build their students up in character, wisdom, passion, and love.
I haven't yet figured out exactly HOW I want to honor these particular teachers, but I'm inspired to take action and encourage the hearts of those who have encouraged us so much!
