Okay, here’s the deal. You spend almost 100% of your life either in your bed or on your feet. As a bonafide adult it is time to start to look at investing in the place you spend so much time. You spend way too much time in your bed and in your shoes to be a cheapskate about it.
The hard time about mattresses is this: they seem like SUCH A BIG EXPENSE. Also, SO MUCH PRESSURE. What if I pay a ton of money on something I end up regretting? Eeeep!
But, it is time. It’s time friends to start to look at spending a bit of money on a mattress that will love your body and not hurt it. It’s not worth it to roll over and be poked by springs. I’ve got no time for an achy neck. I have to take care of myself, and part of that is ponying up the money and time to pick a great mattress.
I have looked at some of the online brands of mattresses…the whole “cut the middle man” setup. I think that’s the thing that we millennials love. We don’t want to go lay on a mattress warehouse where there is just a farm of mattresses, all at the same height, lined up end to end and hounded by a mattress salesperson.

You can see my body type above, but there were also questions about whether I sleep on my belly, side, or back. They wanted to know if I get hot at night (since having babies, I DO!). They wanted to know if I snore loudly (I do not!), have sleep apnea (nope!), or restless leg syndrome (only the worst case ever!).
Helix Sleep really gets me people. I felt like with this much information, my princess and the pea self would be so much closer to a perfectly perfect night’s sleep.
And, these are my mattress preferences. I consider myself a little bit like a princess and the pea–I love love love a plus and cushy mattress–also, you can see I was not having great nights sleep.
