Noah and Cooper visited the hospital today, but couldn’t go in to see Asher. They hung out in the NICU lounge while the grandparents traded off between the 3 grandboys. Noah was a little uncertain, worried, and concerned about why we couldn’t take Asher home with us. Noah is an incredibly happy little guy, but he also feels deeply…as indicated above.
Sweet little man is doing slightly better with his respiratory rate–but still needs much improvement. Please pray for that with us? It is a big hurdle he needs to overcome in order to be able to join the other Twig boys here at home. However, his complete healing is our first concern, so we’ll patiently wait on him.
Dude like his hands up by his face. Must be nice to finally be limber and loose enough to move around comfortably. He looks completely different than he did a week ago. One week ago he was stiff and didn’t freely move, now he stretches and curls until he finds a comfy spot.
And of course, his most comfy spot is with his momma. Can’t wait until I don’t have to ask permission to hold him, wear a gown, or wrestle with wires and IVs just to be close to him. But, all in His timing. I am just so thankful that we’ll get to bring Asher home, I’ll wait until it’s time.
Prayers requested: that his respiratory rate would continue to settle into a nice, slow pattern. that he would be able to receive a bottle at each feed (respirations must be below 70 breaths/minute). that he would have no unforeseen setbacks.
Thank you, thank you, thank YOU.
