For those days when you sleep in, when it’s freezing cold, or you just don’t feel like wearing anything too structured, these outfits will help you be comfy while still looking like an adult. I really try to avoid wearing anything too tight on these kind of days. I also reeeeeally try to stay away from itchy material. And if we are being honest, comfy outfits are my jam all year round. The greatest part about these comfy outfits is that they can be mixed and matched to go all together so you really can end up with more than 3 outfits. Two thumbs up for simplifying our wardrobe.
1. Slouchy Everlane Trousers + Everlane Silk Pocket + Blazer
This outfit is overall a little baggy. Perfect for the days you might be bloated or something along those lines. It’s slouchiness is perfect because it gives the outfit an overall feel of style. As if you preplanned this non-structured pieces of clothing to all go together seamlessly. Plus, the blazer is something you probably already have and it can be paired with so much when it comes to work clothes. If you want to add something a little more structured, I would go with the Everlane Cotton Drop tee that is pictured in outfit numero 3.
2. Zella Leggings + Everlane Tunic + Sweater
This is my freezing cold day outfit. The leggings are my go-to, a really good price point, and can be dressed up or worn to workout. Any kind of longer shirt will work here. One that is long enough that will allow you to take off your sweater if you get too hot, but no longer than the sweater you pick. Paired with a cute pair of black books or black heels, this will be polished and cozy to get yourself through the work day. This is the ultimate comfy outfit out of all these comfy outfits :)
3. Black Jeans + Everlane Cotton Drop Tee + Comfy Cardigan
This outfit is the easiest one to mix and match. The pants are the tightest thing on this list, but these ones are pretty comfy. I have the shirt in 4 different colors. I wear it easily 4 times a week. And the cardigan you throw on can be one you already have! A trusty, comfy sweater is really a must have especially when living in cold weather places. I like the poncho look because it has a lot of it’s own style. Black jeans might be considered causal to some workplaces so you can switch them with the Everlane trousers that are pictured above, or they have a slim more fitted pair!
All of these things, in some way or another are part of the 10 Must Have Things for a Grown-Up Closet. If you are looking to rebuild or start with some basics, it’s a good list. And it includes a really great outfit planner worksheet. When winter strikes, I make a serious effort to dress comfy so that I don’t get frustered feeling uncomfortable while I’m stuck inside. I’d loooove to know if you have any comfy closet items that you can’t get enough of.
