Let’s talk about the “What can I bring?” question. For those who aren’t too culinarily inclined, it can be stressful when you get asked to bring something to the party. Especially if it’s an adult filled party. And with this week being the holy grail for all different kinds of parties, we know it might just be on your mind. Easy dishes to make are not easy to come by. First, you should know that most of us who are making our way into adulthood aren’t too culinarily inclined. We envy those who got the cooking and baking thing down. But, I’ve also learned like most things in life, it’s something that gets easier of time. And in good time, you’ll find that signature thing you can whip up without even thinking about it. I asked around and with a little experience, here are my best ideas.
Let’s start with an appetizer –
Caprese Salad Skewers – easy as pie but it looks classy and totally adultish. It’s definitely one of those things I would bring to a fancier style party. Plus, the main thing you need to do is just construct the skewers which is pretty simple. This recipe gives it a 15 minute prep time, and I would actually agree that it is pretty accurate! You really don’t need a lot and if you do not want to make your own balsamic, you can easily buy some pre-made at the grocery store.
Here’s the easiest side dish –
Garlic Parmesan Roasted Broccoli – this post rocks. Alllllll the pictures and the directions make it obvious and a simple walk through. I’ve made them before and they are tasty and healthy. I ended up having to buy the broccoli and parmesan because I had all the other ingredients already!
