In my last post, I mentioned missing blogging from six or seven years ago–and I think a big thing I miss is really feeling like I know the person I’m reading. I loved all the silly little memes and the list posts and the random About Me’s. They are what made blogging fun when you found a few bloggers you really loved. So, with that in mind…

10 Things You’d Never Guess About Me

1. I am a terrible planner, but rarely late. I do not have the skill of planning ahead, but I have an innate sense of time. This built-in clock has probably stunted my planning skills.

2. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a high powered exec. I imagine wearing all black, driving a black car, and living in a big city. I never wanted to get married or have kids.

3. When I started dating Mike, I flipped to the other extreme and wanted a very domesticated life and lots of kids.

4. Almost ten years into marriage, and I’ve eased into a middle line of both my extremes. That makes me feel really good and at peace with life when I really think about it. I’m the exec of my own businesses, and I have a fistful of boys that I get to spend oodles of time with.

5. I love to go to the mall, just to take in all of the inspiration. I love to people watch and I always take note of what my favorite brands are doing as far as the look and merchandising of their store.

6. I love road trips. Gas station food is the best.

7. I had braces for 4 years and my teeth got perfectly straight. Then, they all moved again and now my goal for 2015 is Invisalign! :)

8. I love to read! A recent favorite was Amy Poehler’s memoir–Yes, Please.

9. I have weird allergies and unfortunately passed my weird allergic tendencies on to a couple of my kiddos.

10. I love football like crazy and hate to clean. Those have nothing to do with each other at all. :)
