One thing that NEVER FAIL makes my life easier is meal planning. But, I don’t go all out with meal planning, because that makes me feel toooooo scheduled and regimented and the moment I go off course I want to quit. Why do we do that to ourselves?? Make these silly false rules for ourselves that keep us from really living with more passion and less fuss?
Anyway, I always pick 4 dinnertime meals and expect that we’ll eat out 1 night or do leftovers. This keeps me from wasting food if we decide to meet friends at the last minute or if ordering pizza is the obvious end to a long day. I also just use the recipes as a BASE and use different meats if I can split a pound of one type between a couple meals, etc.
This week, we’re having some YUM food.
Miso Noodle Soup–I’ll probably throw some chicken in here, because a soup without meat doesn’t make my husband super happy. :)
Rainbow Salad–I’ll most likely use this as a base (and definitely try the dressing recipe!) and throw in whatever fruit is cheap at the store.
Balsamic Rosemary Chicken–This just looks delicious and simple!
Easy Breakfast Crescent Roll–We’re always breakfast for dinner people. I may do sausage instead of bacon. We’ll see!
