I'm so glad I went. Just go, I think that is my very best advice for situations that you're dying to do but are a bit nervous to try. Next time I go to the Painter group (yes! there will be a NEXT time! they invited me back! it's monthly! yay! can you tell i'm excited?!) I think I will go even further and ask them to explain some of their techniques to me. I was wondering about some of the ways they were underpainting and blending, etc. I love that their technical knowledge far exceeds mine, but that I can hang with them on the creative side of things. :)
I don't have much else to say, other than that I'm already being very stretched by these challenges. The extra planning that goes into my weeks and the maneuvering of my schedule is proving to be quite a task and rather time consuming. BUT–those are good things. I am choosing to live my life deliberately for a year–and planning my time, energy, and resources accordingly. I have a feeling it will get more natural with time, and the cadence and flow of the week will come. I'm super excited about next week's adventure!
On an unrelated, but somewhat explanatory note…my posting is light tonight because of another special thing that is happening this weekend. I'll have to fill you in on Monday…stay tuned. :)
