My inspiration for our little trip today came from my own hazy memories of beach vacations with the family. My brother and I have deep and abiding fond feelings about the particular vacation below, because it's a time we can really remember our family being…well, happy and whole. I want my sweet boys to have memories of laughing at the seashore. Although, it won't be warm tomorrow…knowing my boys, there will be plenty of sand throwing and LOTS of giggles. The following images are pulled from my archives…yes, that's a wee little Tiny Twig and her adorable brother as a little dude. In the first image we are the family on the rafts–and yes, I was totally sporting a pink little bikini. And, check out those shades in the last one…can I borrow something from my past self?! Would LOVE a pair of those babies right about now. :) Check back on Wednesday for details of the planning of our trip. Details happen to be both necessary and utterly frustratingly pointless with a preschooler and a toddler…especially on a quickie beach trip minus one parent. :) That's how I roll, though…adventure is my middle name. (Not really. Don't have a cow, Mom. I know, I know…it's Elizabeth.)
P.S.–We'll be in the car about 8 hours roundtrip for about 1 1/2 hours at the beach. Ah well, it'll be worth it!
