Look at this cute mug. She is darling, no? AND, she creates darling, stylish and innovative little bags. Seriously cute, ya'll! Have you seen Gussy around the blogosphere? She works with (in)courage and her work has been seen with the likes of the Nester and Melissa at the Inspired Room. Darling, darling, darling. I'm jealous of her cuteness!
As a fellow young lady who's trying to make her place in the world…I wanted to ask her a few questions about her idea of living well and with adventure. Below are her answers…
1. What is your definition of living well? Living well means you
are satisfied with your life. I prefer to measure "living well" with
the moments, memories and experience I have. At the end of the day, it's
not about the things you have it's about the memories that warm your
heart.
2. What has been your greatest adventure thus far? Probably
moving from Michigan to Minnesota about 6 months ago. My husband and I
were desperately looking for work in Michigan but just couldn't find
any. Finally, in August, after nearly 7 months of searching, we drove
out to Minnesota and stayed with a friend for 2 weeks while we
freelanced/job hunted. On a Wednesday I was offered a position, on
Friday we drive back to Michigan. On Saturday we packed our house,
Sunday we drove BACK to Minnesota, Monday we unpacked, and on Wednesday I
started work. Whew. Did that really happen? Oh yes. And now
we're in Minneapolis, loving the big city and the adventure!!!
3.
Name three things you think are magical. Sea horses, iPhones and
down comforters.
4. What missions (little adventures) do you
have in mind for the coming months? I'm afraid I can't speak on
that right now ;)
5. What things inspire you? My husband, family, blog readers
and Gussy shoppers. Seriously! I love being with people, working with
people, and creating. Gussy is a continuous flow of energy and
happiness!
6. How do you make sure that you are staying true
to your definition of living well? I've really struggled with this
recently. I wasn't giving myself enough free time, or time to relax, and
it took a huge toll on my ability to fall asleep and feel
refreshed/energized. There is absolutely no point in being unhappy.
There are tons of ways to live life to the fullest and I truly believe
we're supposed to enjoy "work." I will not spend more than half of my
life being unhappy with my job. To live well, I'm constantly evaluating
my happiness — my goals — seeing what I can do to improve or update
them. "To keep a balance you must constantly shift." I couldn't agree
with that more.
See, she's darling, right? Now let's take a look at her darling bags. I seriously have not seen anything like her little pouches out there…and that's saying a lot. It's hard to have something unique in the internet age.
AND, because Gussy is so cool…she sent me a little bag. And, I have to tell you…I'm.in.LOVE. It's so darling I want to carry it around and cooooo at it (and make other people cooo at it, too. Husband is growing weary of cooing over a ruffled pouch!). Wanna see it in all its wonderfulness? :)
The best news of all, today, is that Gussy is giving away a $25 credit to her store to one of YOU!
