Getting the sewing area (kitchen table) ready for work.

Garment setup

Working on the pockets…gasp!  Pockets.  Pockets are hard.

Ta-Da!  Pockets…I sewed pockets!

And here's the final version of my little skirt.  I like it–it was good for an easy little project.

Garment-final

Okay, so I tried to work on those pants…those cute loungy wide leg pants.  Those delicious stripes.  But, I followed an online tutorial…annnnnd, they are a leeeeetle too tight.  :)  I traced a pair of pants that fit well, as per the tutorial…but, the finished product were a bit too tight for the style of pants I was going for.  But, that's okay.  I think it was a good learning experience.

Annnnd, after that I was afraid to cut into my beautiful boho chic fabric for my darling little dress.  So, I'm saving that project for when Miss Amazing Whitney can come over and help!  :)

But, I did this little tutorial and made this cute skirt.  :)  I think tutorials are much easier to follow than patterns.  But, maybe I'll get better as I keep working on it.

So, there you have it.  A garment.  A finished garment that I can wear out and not be embarrassed by.  :)

My thoughts on the process tomorrow.
