Hello Tiny Twiggies.
I am so honored and excited to be guest posting here today! I'm a stay
at home mom with two young boys that lost a bit of myself along the
mothering journey. I created Pure and Noble to remind myself daily of
all that God created me to be and to enjoy. While Hayley is enjoying
all life has to offer with her sweet family (and getting some much
needed rest) she's asked me to share a few things that inspire me to
"live life fully." I hope you'll find some inspiration too.
My guys…all three of them. They are an amazing source of inspiration,
creativity and humor almost daily.
My husband's photography is simply stunning. I don't know how he can
turn a discarded or everyday object into a thing of beauty, but he does.
It's a gift – undoubtedly.
The well of living water picks me up whenever I am down. It is a wealth
of love and inspiration.
Old photos send my imagination soaring like nothing else can. I love to
look at the people and their clothing and image the story behind the
image, the person, the day the photo was taken. It's like reading a good
book. Through my blogging adventures, I recently discovered a new blog
called Bessie Pearl's Ledger. She writes about her discoveries while
cooking her way through her Great-Grandma's cooking ledger and provides
old family photos with each post. It's truly endearing.
Color, color, color. I can't image life, television or films in black
and white. I love color, but here's the irony…my favorite color is
grey. In fact, the street in the States are gray and yellow (my favorite
color combo) and I find them oddly beautiful. Strange right?
My friends inspire me daily. It’s like God has hand picked my unique set
of friends that each bring something special and unique to my life.
Where one friend challenges me in my walk with Christ, another
challenges me to laugh more and often makes me darn near wet my pants!
Another is tender and soft spoken, another an amazing mother and on and
on the list goes. Thanks girls…I treasure each of you.
Lastly street style makes me weak in the knees. I love seeing how people
put things together: prints, colors, textures and layers. It’s an art.
And one that European women seem to be born with (and they always seem
to have the greatest hair with to die for bangs)! So chic! I would
rather see five images of good street style than 15 styled magazine
spreads.
