Truly, the most pivotal time in my “blogging life” was last fall. Husband and I recognized a season of life that was slower than usual and I was unusually motivated and creative. It was the perfect time for us to give the blog a fair shake at being successful. So, last summer, we began planning for a redesign nd relaunch on my own domain. The new look (my current look) launched on October 1st–the first day of The No Brainer Wardrobe series. I blogged for 31 days straight in Nester’s 31 days of… initiative. It was super well received and Nester twisted my arm into expanding on my ideas in an eBook.
Then, I went to Relevant (now Allume). It was an excellent conference where I got to touch base with some of my favorite blog friends–and make a few new ones. These blog friends are now dear to me in a real-life, text each other, travel to see each other, and hug kind of way. Far surpassing what I learned in nuts-and-bolts at the conference, are the connections I made. One afternoon between sessions, I asked a few of the women to brainstorm Tiny Twig goals with me. They heard my dreams and urged me to push harder and think bigger.
That was the genesis of the crazy amazing year I’ve had with Tiny Twig. That was the genesis of me thinking big things are possible with my small voice.
I want you to be able to have the same experience I did. I want you to know that your voice is valuable and that there are kindred spirits out there who believe in you. That is why I’m giving away a ticket to The Influence Conference, held in Indianapolis this October. I’d LOVE to see you there.
