Make-up, beauty supplies, and styling stuff can quickly start taking over my space if I don’t make an effort to organize and clean things up once in a while. I try and stay on top of keeping things semi-together but when I am running on the 30 second beauty routine plan, clean-up isn’t usually included. And let’s be honest, I think that their is a free sample fairy that comes into my room and leaves tiny perfume and eyeshadow samples weekly! Sometimes I find myself wondering where all the stuff (junk?!) comes from so it helps to get organized every once in a while.
Tips to Organize Beauty Supplies
This drawer system is where I keep all my make-up! Top drawer for things I don’t use too often (cough, cough eyelash curler), the middle one is for all my eye make-up, and the bottom drawer is for my essentials like foundation, bronzer, and blush. Separate your stuff in a way that works for you!
I keep three mugs on my vanity. One for my brushes, one for small tools like tweezers and nail clippers, and then one for cotton balls and q-tips! These mugs are a perfect way to bring some color into your make-up station. How many cute and witty mugs do you see online that you can’t justify buying because you already have so many?! This is a perfect place for them. The ones in the picture were a gift from my out-of-town BFF but I found a little shop that makes ones almost the same!
Isn’t this gadget cool?! It helps clear space on my countertop and gives my straightener and curling iron a home. It also keeps the cords in the back and out of my way! I tried hanging them on hooks for a while, but this holder made it much easier. You can lay the hot tool on the pad, too! It comes in a few colors and sticks right onto a flat surface.
This is my favorite thing on my vanity! I try and keep this little tray as clean as I can so that I can see the pretty design on it. Keeping it clean is rare thanks to all those never-ending free samples. I keep my toner, lotion, and some of my random things that I am using on here. It also is usually covered in a leaning tower of ponytails. It’s also perfect to bring some more personality of meaning to the stuff you have around your room! A few etsy shops make personalized ones or it is a perfect thing to buy at garage sale or thrift store!
I never end up remembering all the lipstick colors that I have which usually leads me to buying a similar shade that I already own. This plastic organizer keeps me from forgetting what I already have and helps me pick out the color that I want to wear without having to dig through a drawer. It puts them all on display. It was super cheap and you can pick your size depending on your lipstick library. It also helped me keep track of my chapsticks, which I am pretty sure get stolen by that same fairy that leaves me free samples.
