People. It is spring (well, almost, not quite technically). Spring has sprung (mostly). I absolutely the glorious window that is March-May in Charlotte. That time that is truly and technically Spring. It is warm, but not hot. Sunny, but not scorching. And the whole city is green. I love those months, because before long we experience intense and prolonged heat, brown and scorched grass, and days that last forever and keep babies from sleeping.
In celebration of the coming Spring–I have 2 things I love around my house today. I am playing along with BacWoods Fern and her linky of people's favorite things. I love looking at the participants because it introduces me to new blogs and it spurs me to thinking of things around my home in a new way.
These are flowers my dear husband brought to me a few weeks ago (I tell you Alstromeria is the longest surviving and cheap flower…one of my faves for vases!). Yesterday I went and clipped some little branches off a flowering tree out front and added it to the vase. I LOVE fresh flowers–it makes the whole house feel special and alive.
And our plants are still chugging along. This picture was taken approximately 5 minutes ago–so this is real-time growth, folks. I can't wait to get them transplanted into their permanent outdoor home…but until them, I nurture them and try to protect them from Twig1 and Twig2. :)
I am loving my house right now. I am in the middle of reimagining some things, so it is making me all the more excited to be here, right now.
Hope you are all so well on this Tuesday! My inspiration for Mission 11 is coming later today. Stay tuned!
Also, head over to BacWoods Fern to participate in the linky. AND…head over to my good friend the Nester as she is having a giveaway day with fantastic giveaways every hour of the day. Don't miss out!!
