Okay, so I'm back here with a post about 2 things in my house I love. I particularly like this little link party that BacWoods Fern does on Tuesdays–because it forces me to think of other areas of my house that I love. I can start to feel claustrophobic in my surroundings sometimes…and it's good to look with fresh eyes.
So, my two things this week are:
My bright and shiny tea kettle, which I use to steep tea in and then refrigerate for a days worth of iced herbal tea. My favorite right now is 1 bag of regular decaf iced tea and then 1 bag of Stash Tea Lemon Ginger, steeped for a good long time and then popped in the fridge to be enjoyed over ice alllll day long. And of course, my favorite mug in the world. I'm sorry, I don't know its origin other than I bought it at Target. But, it keeps liquids hot or cold for 1 hour–and it truly does. Love it when advertising proves true. It is dishwashable–which, is a must in my house. I just love it. These two things are regular characters in my day.
My second thing today is husband's gift to me for Valentine's Day. I've been hemming and hawing over how I wanted this canvas from our dear friend Jace–which is a Holga image from a recent trip to Havana, Cuba. I love how even though people are technically IN the picture–it is more about graphic line and color. Swoon. I love having original art in my house…hmmmm, maybe sometime I'll have to do a tour for you of all my little pieces of original art. Another post for another time. :)
